Miller & Chevalier Adds Former DOJ National Security Division Trial Attorney Christina A. Clark
Washington, DC, May 4, 2026 – Miller & Chevalier Chartered is pleased to announce that Christina A. Clark has joined the firm's Litigation department as a Member. Clark most recently served as a Trial Attorney in the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section of the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) National Security Division, where she investigated, prosecuted, and tried sensitive, high-stakes matters in federal courts across the country.
"Christina's arrival reflects the firm's long-standing commitment to bringing exceptional government experience and strategic advocacy to our clients," said William Barry, Chair of Miller & Chevalier. "Her background across the DOJ and the intelligence community, along with her extensive experience leading and trying high-profile cases in federal courts, will be a major asset for our clients."
While at the DOJ, Clark investigated and prosecuted numerous consequential cases involving espionage, export control and sanctions violations, Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations, and trade secret theft and cybersecurity. She also has significant experience navigating the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA), having spearheaded litigation strategy in multiple complex classified matters, and was frequently requested to provide specialized training to federal prosecutors on best practices for classified litigation.
During her tenure at the DOJ, Clark also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in both the Eastern District of Virginia and the Southern District of New York, where she played valuable roles in high-profile federal trials.
Prior to joining the DOJ, Clark served as Associate General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), including in the Litigation Division and the Counterintelligence Mission Center, Office of General Counsel. In those roles, she handled a wide range of civil and criminal litigation matters and investigations, collaborated closely with federal prosecutors, and managed highly sensitive matters involving senior officials.
"Christina is a front‑line litigator with deep experience standing up in federal court when the stakes are highest. She meaningfully strengthens our ability to litigate aggressively and strategically on behalf of our clients," said Jason Workmaster, Chair of Miller & Chevalier's Litigation department. Clark will focus her practice on complex, high-stakes litigation, as well as in matters involving intensive engagement with government enforcement authorities.
"I'm thrilled to join Miller & Chevalier's Litigation department and to work with a team known for handling sophisticated, far-reaching matters," Clark said. "I look forward to helping clients navigate their most sensitive disputes and investigations, drawing on my time in the government and previous trial experience."
