Miller & Chevalier Chartered announced the election of Ann Sultan and James Gadwood as Members of the firm, effective January 1, 2020. Sultan joined the firm in 2013, and focuses her practice on internal and government investigations, international corporate compliance, and white collar defense, particularly the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations. Gadwood joined the firm in 2016, and has a diverse federal tax practice that spans many substantive areas, including tax accounting, transfer pricing, opportunity zones, the non-deductibility of fines and penalties, debt-versus-equity determinations, and earnings-stripping rules.
