Washington, DC, October 22, 2020 – Miller & Chevalier Chartered announced today that the firm and several individuals were recognized in the 2022 edition of Legal 500 Latin America. The firm is ranked Tier 1 in the International Firms – Compliance and Investigations category, and Latin America Practice Lead Matteson Ellis is named as a Leading Lawyer. Firm Chair Kathryn Cameron Atkinson, International Department Chair James Tillen, International Department Vice Chair Alejandra Montenegro Almonte, and White Collar Defense Practice Lead William Barry are also highlighted. Counsel Gregory Bates and Senior Associate Leah Moushey are recognized as Rising Stars.

The rankings acknowledged Miller & Chevalier "might be considered a small firm by U.S. standards, but they have, in my opinion, the most qualified and prepared team to deal with compliance and investigations. I have already worked with plenty of U.S. law firms in FCPA-related matters and [Miller & Chevalier] is, by far, the one who delivers the most. One other thing that really differentiates them from competitors is their capabilities to render services in Latin America. They have several professionals, not just fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, but also used to the culture of each of the countries."
