Layla J. Asali and Loren C. Ponds Elected Fellows of the American College of Tax Counsel

Washington, DC, September 24, 2021 – Miller & Chevalier today announced that Members Layla J. Asali and Loren C. Ponds were elected Fellows of the American College of Tax Counsel by the Board of Regents of the College.

To be eligible for nomination to the College, a lawyer must have been in practice for at least 15 years and devoted the principal part of the time in practice to tax and tax-related matters. In addition, the lawyer must have demonstrated an exceptional degree of professional commitment to the practice of law through active involvement in the taxation committees of section of national, regional, state, or local bar associations, through significant legal writing or teaching in the field of taxation, or by holding a responsible tax administration position with the federal government.
