Miller & Chevalier Adds Kirby D. Behre to Litigation Practice

Washington, DC, November 13, 2014 -- Miller & Chevalier Chartered today announced that Kirby D. Behre has joined the firm as a Member in the Litigation department. Behre joins from Paul Hastings LLP. He represents companies and individuals globally in government investigations, criminal prosecutions complex business litigation and regulatory matters.

Joining the Litigation practice from Paul Hastings LLP along with Behre are Senior Associate Lauren E. Briggerman and Associate Michael Anderson.

Behre has more than 25 years of experience as a prosecutor and trial lawyer. He is a nationally recognized authority on business crimes and global investigations, and co-authored Federal Sentencing for Business Crimes (Lexis-Nexis) and Responding to Corporate Criminal Investigations (BNA).

Behre served as an Assistant United States Attorney in 1989. Before that, he practiced at the Washington, DC law firms of Hogan & Hartson and Pettit & Martin.

Behre is General Counsel to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the National Capital Area, an organization he has been involved with for more than 25 years. He earned his B.A. with special honors and distinction from George Washington University and a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

Briggerman received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School with honors, where she served as Executive Articles Editor for The George Washington International Law Review. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and French from Northwestern University. Previously, she clerked for the Honorable Thomas C. Wheeler on the Court of Federal Claims.

Anderson received his J.D. and his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the Duke University School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Duke Law Journal. He earned his B.A. with highest honors in History and Political Science from Duke University. Previously, he clerked for the Honorable James C. Dever III on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
