Katie Cantone-Hardy focuses her practice on cross-border internal investigations and compliance matters involving corruption, workplace misconduct, Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and cartels, and business and human rights. She regularly assists clients with investigations arising from allegations of misconduct, as well as compliance program design and implementation. Katie is fluent in Spanish and has worked on multiple cross-border matters involving Latin America.

Katie earned her J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where she served as a Notes Editor on The George Washington Law Review, a Student-Attorney in the Family Justice Litigation Clinic, and a Dean's Fellow. She also served as a judicial extern in the chambers of The Honorable Loren L. AliKhan at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and as a Volunteer Law Clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Sex Crimes Division. Katie received her B.A. in Spanish and Media Studies from the University of Virginia.

  • Conducted a scoping assessment of forced labor and child labor risks across the global supply chain of a large multinational company.
  • On behalf of a nonprofit organization, investigated allegations of discrimination and retaliation by senior leadership. 
  • For a large multinational company, drafted investigations protocol addendum to guide compliance personnel in investigating allegations of discrimination and harassment.
  • For a large multinational company, investigated allegations of bribery and conflict of interest involving senior leaders in a Latin American country.
