Brittany Huamani's practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, and investigations, with experience in matters involving customs enforcement and international trade. She works on cases arising under U.S. trade and import regulations, including matters involving Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).
Brittany advises on trade related compliance and enforcement matters, including issues related to tariff exposure and mitigation strategies. She supports investigations and counseling on customs compliance risks, tariff impacts, trade-related litigation, and supply chain considerations, often in connection with broader enforcement, litigation, or regulatory matters. She handles cross border investigations and foreign discovery matters under 28 U.S.C. ยง 1782.
Prior to joining the firm, Brittany served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Darlene M. Soltys of the District of Columbia Superior Court. She also worked as a legal intern in the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of International Affairs, where she gained experience with international enforcement and cross border cooperation, and as a law clerk for public defender's office of Alexandria, Virginia. Additionally, Brittany worked as a program assistant at the Due Process of Law Foundation.
