Angelo Márquez

Angelo Márquez is a Visiting Law Clerk in Miller & Chevalier's International department, focusing his practice on internal investigations and corporate compliance with experience across the extractives, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, and financial sectors. Prior to joining Miller & Chevalier, Mr. Márquez served as a Fellow with the World Bank Group's Business Integrity Office, where he worked on integrity, anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), and sanctions matters across jurisdictions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Mr. Márquez holds an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center, a degree in Commercial Law from the Universidad de Los Andes, and a law degree from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked in the Compliance practice at OlarteMoure in Bogotá, Colombia, advising clients in high risk sectors on anti-corruption compliance frameworks and FCPA-related matters. He also advises clients on risk management and compliance matters, drawing on prior experience at an international audit firm and as in house counsel for a multinational medical devices manufacturer.
