Timothy O'Toole and Christopher Stagg* will speak at the ABA International Law Section 2021 Year-in-Review on March 4 and 8, 2022.
Tim's panel discussion will cover significant developments in 2021 with respect to U.S. sanctions targeting Russia, China, Myanmar, Belarus, and Afghanistan. Panelists will review the first year of the Biden administration's sanctions programs and also discuss U.S. sanctions enforcement trends.
Chris's panel will discuss significant developments in 2021 with respect to U.S. export controls targeting China, Russia, Myanmar, Cambodia as well as various developments under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Export Control Reform Act of 2018. This will provide a good opportunity to review the first year of the Biden administration's sanctions programs. They will also discuss enforcement trends under U.S. export controls.
