Marc Gerson, Samuel Lapin, and Lisandra Ortiz will speak at the Federal Bar Association (FBA) Insurance Tax Seminar on May 28-29, 2026.

Gerson will moderate the panel "OBBBA Provisions of Interest to the Insurance Industry." This session will focus on provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) that impact health, life, and property and casualty insurance companies, their investments, and their products.

Lapin will moderate the session "Key Developments in Tax Controversy," which will cover recent court decisions, current legislative efforts impacting tax law, and other items relevant to tax administration.

Ortiz will moderate the panel "Tax Issues for Health Insurance Companies and Products," addressing changes in OBBBA that are most relevant to health insurance companies, including recent Medicare pricing announcements, considerations relevant to provider support arrangements, and industry trends.
