Miller & Chevalier's Margot Laporte a Founding Board Member of Cross-Border White Collar Crime Young Practitioners U.S./French/Swiss Initiative

Washington, DC, October 10, 2023 – Miller & Chevalier is pleased to announce that Member Margot Laporte is a founding board member of the recently launched White Collar Crime Young Practitioners (WCCYP), a network comprising leading white collar crime practitioners under age 45 from U.S., French, and Swiss law firms who are focused on government investigations, related litigation, and compliance matters. WCCYP's objective is to bring together white collar attorneys based in these countries to share ideas and experiences, report on current trends, and develop a network of experts in the field.

Laporte's fluency in French and natural cross-border perspective, having been raised in a French-American family, enables her to advise many large global corporations through enforcement proceedings and internal investigations relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), economic sanctions, and securities enforcement matters, among others. Laporte often serves as a legal and cultural translator for global clients operating in the U.S. and for U.S. clients operating globally — helping them to understand and navigate U.S. regulatory risks and legal processes.
