Washington, DC, November 30, 2018 – Miller & Chevalier Chartered is pleased to announce that Pro Bono Counsel Kathleen Wach has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Pro Bono Counsel (APBCo). "APBCo is a needed resource and provides an important community for lawyers exclusively managing pro bono practices," Wach said. "I am honored to support the organization in this new capacity."

Wach has been involved in pro bono law throughout her career. She previously worked for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, and was a Westwood Fellow at the Neighborhood Legal Services Program, which provides free counsel in civil cases to disadvantaged residents. Before joining the firm, Wach was an attorney in the Legal Division of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, where she was responsible for screening appeals and petitions for agency review and recommending dispositions on all non-argued matters.

"On behalf of the firm, I congratulate Kitty on this well-deserved achievement,” said Marc Gerson, Chair of Miller & Chevalier. "She is a strong and relentless advocate of the diverse pro bono work involving our clients and lawyers, making her an excellent addition to APBCo's board."
