"Miller & Chevalier Adds Former DOJ Healthcare Fraud Leader"
Law360
Miller & Chevalier has announced the addition of Kevin Lowell, former deputy chief of the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ's) National Fraud Enforcement Division, Health Care Fraud Section, to its litigation practice. Lowell brings more than a decade of DOJ experience leading high-profile healthcare fraud investigations, prosecutions, and enforcement matters. Explaining his move to private practice, Lowell said, "I was interested in taking that experience that I built on the government side and going to private practice so I can help companies navigate those same complex investigations." He also noted that healthcare remains an industry under intense government scrutiny and highlighted DOJ's growing emphasis on speed and efficiency in corporate investigations, warning that "the window to get ahead of a problem is shrinking." Lowell's arrival further strengthens Miller & Chevalier's capabilities in healthcare fraud, government investigations, white collar defense, and regulatory enforcement matters.
