Washington, DC, February 1, 2019 – Miller & Chevalier is pleased to announce that Dawn E. Murphy-Johnson, Nina C. Gupta, and Lisandra Ortiz were selected as members of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's (LCLD) class of 2019. Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of approximately 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.

Murphy-Johnson, Counsel in the firm's Litigation Department, was named to the LCLD's 2019 class of Fellows. Participants in the Fellows Program come from law firms and in-house legal departments nationwide and engage in a year-long program designed to assist experienced practitioners in leadership development through relationship building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD's top leadership. Gupta, Senior Associate in the Litigation Department, and Ortiz, Senior Associate in the Tax Department, were named to the 2019 class of Pathfinders. The Pathfinder Program offers mid-level attorneys meaningful opportunities to build leadership, professional networking, and strategic career development skills.

"LCLD's programs present valuable opportunities for our attorneys to enhance their practices and to develop the strong leadership skills that will allow them to make substantial contributions to the overall legal profession," said firm Chair Marc Gerson. "It is an honor for Dawn, Nina, and Lisandra to be selected for these programs."

Miller & Chevalier has been a member of LCLD since 2015. The firm is proud to have been named as an LCLD Top Performer in 2018, which is a designation for corporations and law firms that are most involved in LCLD's programs and the promotion of LCLD's mission.
