PLI's Basics of International Taxation 2015 - San Francisco

Linda E. Carlisle* and Layla J. Asali will be speaking at the Practising Law Institute's (PLI's) Basics of International Taxation 2015 on September 28, 2015, in San Francisco, CA. Carlisle, who is Co-Chair of the conference will present introductions and opening remarks and will also present, as part of a panel, "Overview of U.S. International Tax System." Asali will present, as part of a panel, "U.S. Persons Investing or Operating Outside the United States (Outbound Investments) -- Lending, Licensing and Portfolio Investments."

This conference will focus on specific types of outbound and inbound investment and activities, and their U.S. tax consequences. New sessions will provide an overview of the U.S. international tax system, discuss base erosion profit sharing (BEPS), repatriation and tax reform proposals, and relieving and avoiding double tax.
