Miller & Chevalier Webinar: Health Care Reform Redux: What is Next for the ACA, the DOL Fiduciary Rule, and Health Plans

In the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election, there has been much speculation about the short- and long-term viability of many ACA provisions. In this webinar, Garrett A. Fenton*, Erin M. Sweeney,* and Marc J. Gerson provided an overview of the most important ACA provisions for employer-sponsored plans, the likely timeline and procedures for their possible repeal and replacement, the ACA (and pre-ACA) rules that are less likely to be repealed, and the bottom line, near-term impact on group health plans and health insurance coverage. The webinar also addressed possible regulatory, executive, and litigation moves that could impact employer-sponsored plans in the first quarter of 2017, including potential steps to delay or withdraw the DOL Fiduciary Rule. Finally, the webinar provided a brief overview of the various ACA replacement proposals that have been released to date, focusing on areas of most concern to employer-sponsored group health plans and health insurance coverage.
