Anthony F. Shelley and Michael N. Khalil* will be speaking at the American Conference Institute's (ACI) 10th National Forum on ERISA Litigation on October 26, 2015, in New York, NY. Shelley will present, as part of a panel, "Wurtz v. Rawlings: Preemption, Remedies and Subrogation." Topics include defining an employee benefit plan under ERISA’s terms, preemption of state laws that relate to any employee benefit plan and exemption of laws that regulate insurance. Khalil will present, as part of a panel, "Claims Against Service Providers." Topics include preemption of state law theories, fiduciary status of service providers, health and welfare plans and retirement plans.
