Washington, DC, October 7, 2015 -- Miller & Chevalier is pleased to announce that it was named the top contributor among firms of its size in the 2015 Legal Aid Society Generous Associates Campaign, an annual fundraising drive run by Associates at Washington DC law firms each summer. Miller & Chevalier raised a total of $37,782 in 2015, beating its 2014 contributions by more than $6,000.

Collectively, the Campaign raised $1,367,000, exceeding its goal by nearly $70,000 and last year's total by more than $100,000. The Generous Associates Campaign allows Legal Aid to continue to provide legal services to the neediest members of the city in areas of domestic violence, housing, public benefits and consumer law.

"It is truly extraordinary that DC's generous associates (and partners and others) have not only surpassed last year's enormously successful effort, but also made this the most successful campaign in Legal Aid's history. This Campaign raised approximately one quarter of Legal Aid's budget, so it is no exaggeration to say survivors of domestic violence will get to safety, families will remain safe in their homes, and elderly DC residents will receive the health care they need and to which they are entitled under the law because of what was accomplished by DC's generous lawyers this summer," said Legal Aid Society Executive Director Eric Angel.

Legal Aid Society also commends "Outstanding Generous Associates!" -- a program established to recognize non-partner donors who give a cumulative total of $250 or more to the Campaign. Lawyers Theresa Androff, Leila Babaeva, Dennis Bedell, Marc Bohn, Michael Chittenden, Shane Hamilton, Andrew Howlett, Jarrett Jacinto and Michael Satin were recognized in the 2015 list.

Marc Bohn served as a 2015 Campaign co-chair and Theresa Androff and Michael Satin served as Campaign coordinators.
