Miller & Chevalier Honored for Ongoing Pro Bono Commitment by Chief Judges of the District of Columbia
Washington, DC, June 26, 2025 – Miller & Chevalier is pleased to announce that the firm was again named a pro bono leader in Washington, DC, by the federal Chief Judges of the District of Columbia. Miller & Chevalier was one of 21 firms recognized as "40 @ 50" honorees for pro bono work in 2024, a standard in which at least 40 percent of firm lawyers performed at least 50 hours of pro bono work. Additionally, the firm was one of nine firms recognized for meeting the "50 @ 50" standard and one of only three firms recognized for meeting the "60 @ 50" standard. Finally, Miller & Chevalier was one of three firms recognized for having at least 40 percent of its Members/partnership surpass 50 pro bono hours in 2024.

The Judicial Conference of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit's Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services conducts an annual survey of law firms with 25 or more lawyers in their DC offices as of the end of the previous year. To qualify for the "40 at 50" honor, firms with 25 or more lawyers must have at least 40 percent of all attorneys spend at least 50 hours per year on pro bono work.
