Marc Gerson discusses the details of Obama’s tax changes put forth in the FY2010 budget. Regarding the changes to deferral rules, he says "Given the President's demonstrated interest from the campaign to this budget blue print to the fact that he gave the press conference [announcing the proposals], given budget constraints, given that a number of the proposals have already been presented in the House as part of Chairman Rangel's bill, I certainly think they will get serious consideration."
