Marc Gerson discusses the legislative prospects for the "tax extenders" package in the upcoming "lame duck" Congressional session. Gerson notes that because the provisions in the package expired at the end of 2009, if Congress only enacts a one-year extension the provisions will once again expire at the end of 2010. As a result, Gerson notes "we’re back talking about extenders next year."
