Marc Gerson comments on the draft international tax reform plan released by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) that would feature a territorial system and drop the top corporate tax rate to 25%, along with a host of other measures. "My initial reaction is that companies are going to have to evaluate the proposal as a whole—it's a fundamental proposal so there is a lot of interaction among the different proposals. Companies are going to need to model their tax profile under the entire proposal to determine its net impact on them," said Gerson.
