Michael Dearden focuses his practice on international trade and customs matters, bringing substantial government experience advising on import regulations, customs compliance, and trade enforcement. Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as an Attorney-Advisor with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), where he advised on import regulations, customs rulings, and complex trade matters. He later was a Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice (DOJ), gaining additional experience in federal litigation and enforcement matters.

During law school, he gained public sector legal experience through internships with the DOJ and the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, among others.
