Eric J. Albers-Fiedler focuses his practice on federal tax controversy matters. He represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), guiding them through all stages of examinations and investigations, administrative appeals, and litigation. Eric has extensive tax litigation experience and represents taxpayers before the U.S. Tax Court. Eric also counsels clients on a range of business and tax planning matters.

Eric's recent experience includes matters involving substance-over-form; taxation of corporations, partnerships, and partners; taxation of financial products; income tax accounting and methods; research credits; employment tax issues; tax-exempt organizations; charitable contribution deductions; and valuation.  

He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and previously worked in the tax group of a Big Four accounting firm. Prior to joining Miller & Chevalier, he was a senior associate at a global law firm.

Eric regularly presents at tax conferences hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA) and other professional organizations. He is very involved with pro bono representations and is the incoming Vice Chair of the ABA Tax Section's Pro Bono and Tax Clinics committee.
