Emily J. Caputo

Emily Caputo is an Associate in the firm's Tax department, where she focuses on a broad range of tax matters. She brings valuable experience spanning government service and private practice, including tax policy, tax controversy, and transactional tax matters, enabling her to provide practical and informed counsel on complex tax issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily was a Tax Associate at a multinational law firm. Before that, she served as a Policy Advisor in the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Tax Policy, where she contributed to the development and analysis of significant tax policy initiatives with a focus on the clean energy tax guidance issued following passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. 

Emily earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was Articles & Essays Editor of the Yale Law Journal.
