Marc Gerson Comments on Staggered Tax Extenders in Bloomberg

"Staggering of Tax-Perk Extensions Opens New Lobbying Frontiers"

Marc Gerson, former majority tax counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, commented on Congress' imposition of different expirations dates on several temporary tax breaks as part of the most recent government funding and pandemic relief bill. The uneven extensions passed by Congress disrupts that process, potentially setting up future fights, Gerson said.
