George Hani commented on the appoint of Nikole Flax as the new deputy commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Large Business and International (LB&I) Division. "I think Nikole will do great in the new role," said Hani, who worked with Flax on the recent appeals conference procedural changes. "While we did not necessarily agree on everything, I found her open, reasonable, and levelheaded," he said, adding that Flax was willing to discuss concerns and was open to modifying how the unit operates.
