National Law Journal

Former Director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Paul Leder, commented on his arrival at Miller & Chevalier. Leder, who led the SEC's cross-border enforcement and regulatory program from 2014 to 2018, joins the firm's Litigation Department as Of Counsel. Citing the firm's deep bench and expertise, Leder said Miller & Chevalier "has proven itself exceptional in working with clients" on both domestic and international issues. This is Leder's second time moving from the SEC to private practice. He first worked at the SEC between 1987 and 1999, serving as a trial lawyer in the Division of Enforcement, where he co-counseled the SEC's first jury trial, and then as a supervisor in OIA.
