Marc Gerson and Andrew Herman* will present, "Focus on Corporate PACs – Increased Scrutiny of Contribution Policies and Compliance Issues," on February 17, 2021. In response to the unprecedented January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, corporate political action committees (PACs) have reexamined their activities, particularly their contribution policies. This increased scrutiny will inevitably lead to a focus on their compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) requirements and other federal regulations. Gerson and Herman will discuss how corporate PACs are modifying their contribution policies in light of the current political environment and how they can best ensure that they comply fully with their federal obligations.
