Layla Asali will speak at the conference, sponsored by the IBA Taxes Committee. She will serve on the panel, "The Exploration Phase," which will review issues relating to the exploration phase, such as capitalization and deductions of expenses, deferred charges, asset taxes, surface rentals, valuation of mineral reserves and tax consequences of discoveries.
