Timothy O'Toole will present the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI) webinar, "Five Major Lessons Compliance Professionals Can Learn from Recent Enforcement Actions," on May 2, 2019. This webinar will focus on lessons compliance professionals can learn from recent enforcement actions. O'Toole will review pertinent recent enforcement actions to determine what sorts of conduct U.S. regulators are focused on, and how compliance officials can learn to identify and mitigate similar risks.  The main points of emphasis will be on identifying and mitigating diversion risks for U.S. exporters, identifying SDN risks posed to world-wide businesses (with an especial emphasis on financial institutions), supply chain risks for any U.S. importer, the especial export controls and sanctions risks posed by U.S. persons and U.S. goods, and the sectors that have been heavily targeted by U.S. enforcement agencies.
