2015 ABA Section of Taxation May Meeting

Larry Gibbs, Anthony Provenzano,* and Erin Sweeney* will be speaking at the 2015 ABA Section of Taxation May Meeting on May 8, 2015, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC.

Gibbs will present as part of a panel discussion, "Everyone, Lean In: Changing the Organizational Culture to Embrace Balance and Diversity." This panel will address tried and true methods of raising awareness of diversity issues in organizations and practice groups as it applies to work-life balance for both women and men.

Provenzano will present as part of a panel discussion, "Employee Benefits Executive Compensation, Fringe Benefits and Federal Securities Law Update." Panelists will discuss executive compensation for tax-exempt organizations, including, if they have been released, the section 457(f) regulations and other recent developments. The panel will also include a discussion with government representatives regarding current executive compensation projects underway at Treasury and the IRS.

As Chair of the Subcommittee on Fiduciary Responsibility, Sweeney will present, as part of a panel, "Employee Benefits Fiduciary Responsibilities Update," which will discuss guidance issued addressing ERISA fiduciary responsibilities. As Co-Chair of the Subcommittees on Litigation, ESOPs and Fiduciary Responsibility and Plan Investments, Sweeney will present, as part of a panel, "Employee Benefits Litigation Update," which will discuss recent ERISA litigation cases.
