Mark Rochon was mentioned in a Global Investigations Review article discussing the recent VimpelCom Ltd. settlement following allegations of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations. The U.S. portion of the resolution came in the form of a deferred prosecution agreement (DPA) with VimpelCom's parent organization and a plea agreement with its Uzbek subsidiary. The U.S. Department of Justice has credited VimpelCom for its willingness to resolve criminal liability and extensive cooperation with the government's investigation.
