Marc Gerson comments on the decision by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to remove the tax extenders package from the Senate jobs legislation. Gerson notes that extension of a number of the provisions in the package, such as the research and development credit and the subpart F provisions, are critical. He says the fact that those provisions remain in limbo is affecting companies' investment decisions and their financial statements.
