Marc Gerson comments on the possible inclusion of tax reform in a deal on the US debt ceiling. "Given that tax reform is a longer-term exercise, I do not see substantive tax reform being included in any debt ceiling agreement," said Gerson. "I do think significant progress will be made with respect to tax reform in the form of continued hearings by the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee," he added.
