Marc Gerson, Chair of Miller & Chevalier and former Republican tax counsel for the House Committee on Ways and Means, commented on the status of tax reform efforts. Republicans are "under tremendous pressure to get something done on taxes," Gerson said, adding that "you could see a pivot to more of a tax cut or a tax relief package" if they start to struggle with a more comprehensive tax reform effort.
