Homer Moyer, Jr., chair of the American Conference Institute's 21st National Conference on the FCPA in March in New York, commented that in an environment of both aggressive enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and severe corporate cost-cutting, there are cost-effective approaches that companies can use to enhance compliance. Moyer recommended eight specific steps that companies could take to strengthen FCPA compliance in the face of requirements to maintain or reduce corporate compliance budgets.
