"Powerful but Obscure US Tax Court Lags on Access"

Reuters

George Hani discusses the U.S. Tax Court, which has been opening itself up to the public, but only very slowly, and still lags behind other courts on access. The Tax Court's orders and opinions are readily available online, but documents filed as part of its proceedings are not. "They are moving in a direction of creating greater access, but it is slow and deliberate," said Hani, who earlier was a Treasury attorney and an IRS counsel.
