Jorge Castro, a former Congressional tax counsel and Counselor to the IRS Commissioner, was quoted regarding Senator Kamala Harris's tax policies now that she has been selected as running mate to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Castro said it is "fair game" to look at Senator Harris's past tax policies, but that he expects new proposals now that she is Biden's choice for vice president. Castro added, however, "[a]ny new tax proposal the Biden-Harris campaign develops will be viewed through the lens of legislation they will want to advance should they win the White House."
