John Davis commented on class action risks in corruption cases in light of Petrobras' $2.95 billion settlement of a class-action lawsuit. While bribery cases often lead to securities lawsuits, many are dismissed by the courts early in the process, and significant damages can be hard to prove because FCPA-related matters usually don’t lead to big share-price moves, Davis said.
