Miller & Chevalier Names Four New Members

Washington, DC, December 18, 2007 – Miller & Chevalier Chartered announced that it has elected four counsel to be members in the firm effective January 1, 2008 - Dwight N. Mersereau, who practices in the Tax Department; Anthony G. Provenzano, who practices in the Employee Benefits area; Matthew T. Reinhard, who practices in Litigation; and James G. Tillen who practices in the firm’s International Department.

Dwight N. Mersereau, Tax Department, focuses his practice on federal income tax issues. His experience includes tax planning, evaluating tax positions and representing clients under audit, before appeals, before the IRS National Office, and before federal courts. He has substantive expertise in all areas of tax accounting, including accounting for inventories. Mr. Mersereau holds a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law, an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, and a B.S., magna cum laude, from Bridgewater State College.

Anthony G. Provenzano, Employee Benefits Department, practices in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation and focuses in particular on tax-qualified retirement plans, welfare arrangements, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, split-dollar arrangements, preparing for and managing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor audits, equity incentive arrangements, and employee benefits compliance issues related to mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Provenzano holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.

Matthew T. Reinhard, Litigation Department, focuses on complex civil and criminal disputes, including complex business torts, defending companies and individuals facing government investigations, and conducting international internal investigations. Mr. Reinhard holds a J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Colorado College.

James G. Tillen, International Department, focuses on FCPA compliance and enforcement, anti-money laundering compliance and internal investigations. He has experience with every facet of an FCPA matter, including internal investigations, due diligence reviews, compliance programs, training, compliance audits, voluntary disclosures, enforcement actions, collateral issues (including public relations and related litigation), and independent monitors. Mr. Tillen holds a J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
