Miller & Chevalier hosted a trade policy breakfast featuring Darci Vetter, International Trade Advisor on the Senate Finance Committee Democratic staff.

Ms. Vetter is responsible for agriculture, labor and environment issues on the Committee trade staff and is also a former staff member in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in its Agriculture and Environment sections. She is a very astute and articulate observer of the trade policy making environment in Washington, DC, and around the world. She was a lead staff person on trade issues in the most recent farm bill negotiations, and handles other emerging issues, such as the role of trade in climate change legislation. Ms. Vetter gave off-the-record reflections on the different perspectives on trade policy in the executive and legislative branches, and provide forward looking views on trade policy on the verge of the political transition in what we know will be a very interesting discussion.
