The Changing Business Landscape

American University Washington College of Law, Washington, DC

Since the collapse of the financial markets amidst the sub-prime mortgage crisis, the business landscape has dramatically changed. Some changes, such as the tightening of the credit market, may be temporary while others more damaging and long lasting. This symposium, presented by the Business Law Brief, will focus on the changing business landscape and its affect upon intellectual property rights, international trade, private equity investment, and white-collar crime.

Andrew Wise will speak on "White Collar Crime -- a comparative analysis of old and new regulatory enforcement in the wake of the Madoff scandal and financial sector collapse."
