Law360
William Barry commented on his election as chair of Miller & Chevalier, succeeding Kathryn Cameron Atkinson, who led the firm since 2019. Barry, a white collar litigator with over 30 years of experience, emphasized the importance of experienced leadership during times of regulatory change. Barry noted that under his leadership, the firm will continue to offer clients not just legal analysis, but perspective on where the regulatory environment is headed. "We've got a group of people who have practiced in government, out of government, but with a focus on DC, and have seen these kind of periods of change before," he said. "There's such a treasure trove of experience, that I just feel, in times of uncertainty, experience helps guide the path," Barry said. "We're a firm that has the scale to handle the biggest and most-complex matters," Barry acknowledged, adding, "at the same time, I can walk the hallways here and say hello to all of my colleagues in the same place," praising the firm's culture.
