Layla Asali, Michael Desmond, and Kevin Kenworthy will speak at the University of Texas Law School of Law (UT Law) Oil, Gas, and Energy Symposium on November 19, 2025. Asali will present, as a part of a panel "Federal Legislative Update," discussing the recently enacted One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and the prospects for additional tax legislation this year. Desmond will co-present the session "Working with the Current IRS: What's Changed and What You Need to Know," which will provide an overview of the pathways available for taxpayers to obtain certainty in their return reporting positions and highlight strategies for effectively utilizing them in the current resource constrained environment. Kenworthy will serve as Presiding Officer for the morning sessions.
