Margot Laporte Quoted on Hoskins Conviction Reversal in the Wall Street Journal

Subtitle
"Former Alstom Executive's Foreign Bribery Conviction Overturned"

Wall Street Journal

Margot Laporte was quoted on a federal judge's acquittal of former Alstom executive Lawrence Hoskins on charges that he violated the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), potentially limiting the U.S. Department of Justice's enforcement of the law against foreign agents who did not engage in any misconduct in the United States. "They will need to prove that the U.S. entity had control of the agent's actions, and that the agent agreed to that control," Laporte said.
