Subtitle
"Congress Seeks IRS Probe Amid Suspicions that Audits Targeted Trump Foes"

Washington Post

Joseph Rillotta, former counselor to the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), commented on reports that the IRS initiated detailed reviews into the tax records of James B. Comey, the former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director, and Andrew McCabe, his deputy who later took over the agency. Congressional Democrats and Republicans have called for a full federal probe into the matter. "This is either the most brazen of crimes involving manipulation of audit processes or a complete statistical fluke," Rillotta said.
