Patrick Stewart's practice focuses on compliance and internal investigations associated with U.S. customs, export controls, and economic sanctions. Mr. Stewart advises clients on the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Foreign Trade Regulations, and the various regulations issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). He has experience conducting internal investigation to identify compliance lapses and drafting voluntary disclosures related to violations of export regulations. Mr. Stewart also advises clients on a variety of U.S. customs issues, including tariff classification, valuation, and penalty proceedings.
