Kelly Trout is a Senior Associate in Miller & Chevalier's Litigation Department and focuses her practice on complex business and commercial litigation on behalf of individuals and corporations. She has successfully litigated in federal and state courts in a variety of industries including software, insurance, construction, and gaming and entertainment, and on a wide range of issues, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, product liability, internal investigations, and fraud. Ms. Trout is involved in all aspects of litigation, from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial, and appeals.
Prior to joining the Miller & Chevalier, she was an associate at an Am Law 200 firm.
Ms. Trout is committed to serving her community, representing clients on a pro bono basis in housing discrimination matters and clemency applications.
While in law school, Ms. Trout was an editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives and was a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Hearings and Appeals and the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law's Educational Opportunities Project. Prior to law school, Kelly was a Teach For America corps member in Washington, DC and government affairs associate for Teach For America's national team.
