Christopher Shin focuses his practice on employer-sponsored benefit plans and compliance with federal laws impacting health and welfare plans, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Affordable Care Act, and Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shin was an associate at another prominent law firm primarily providing counsel on employer-sponsored retirement and health and welfare plans. He also assisted clients in regulatory compliance, government reporting obligations and responding to inquiries from federal agencies, including the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Shin also has experience working for a major accounting firm, where he consulted on the potential tax implications of transactions and related projects.
